Yes. We can absolutely include welcome party or rehearsal dinner coverage as part of your wedding weekend.
Welcome parties are such a special part of the story — often full of hugs, toasts, candid moments, and the people who traveled far to celebrate with you. We offer welcome party coverage at $700/hour, and we’re happy to build that into your custom proposal.
-
Yes. If you need more coverage than what is included in your collection, additional wedding day coverage is available at $700/hour.
We’ll also help you think through your timeline beforehand so you feel confident about how much coverage you actually need.

Travel is included for weddings within our standard travel radius, which covers the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Marin, Walnut Creek, and the Coastside.
If your venue is outside of that area, a travel fee may apply. We’ll always be upfront about any travel costs before booking.

We primarily photograph weddings digitally, but we do have a dedicated team member who specializes in film photography.
If he is available for your date, we can offer film coverage or a hybrid of film and digital. If film is something you’re excited about, let us know early so we can check availability and talk through what that could look like for your day.

5 rolls $700
These prices include the rolls of film, development of film, and high res digital scans.
Our Team
-
Our current team includes 4 photographers, 1 editor, and 1 admin powerhouse.
It’s a small, intentional team — which allows us to give each couple a personal experience while still offering more availability and support than a single-photographer studio.
-
Absolutely. You’ll meet your photographer before the wedding either on a Zoom call or in person if you’ve booked an engagement session.
And truly, we think an engagement session is the best way to get to know your photographer. It gives you a chance to experience how they guide, direct, and photograph you before the wedding day.
-
Every photographer on the KD team was chosen because their photographic style and approach align with the overall KD Photography style.
We also hand-edit all KD galleries to match our specific look and feel, so your final images feel cohesive no matter which photographer is behind the camera. Our goal is for every gallery to feel consistent, thoughtful, and true to the KD experience.
-
We try our very hardest to make sure the photographer you have for your engagement session is also the photographer at your wedding.
We think an engagement session is one of the best ways to get comfortable in front of the camera and build trust with your photographer before the wedding day. By the time the wedding arrives, you’ve already spent time together, know what to expect, and can feel more relaxed and confident.
-
Yes, depending on availability.
If you connect with a specific photographer on our team, let us know. We’re happy to check their availability for your date and talk through the best fit for your wedding.
-
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and are happy to provide proof of insurance to any venue that requires it.
Galleries
-
Every image is carefully selected and edited by hand, so your gallery feels consistent, polished, and true to the emotion of your day.
-
We don’t promise a specific photo count because every wedding is different. The final number depends on the length of coverage, the size of the wedding, the timeline, and how much is happening throughout the day.
However, for reference, we typically deliver around 600 edited images for an 8-hour wedding.
-
We take image safety very seriously.
On the wedding day, every photographer shoots with both a main card and a backup SD card. After the wedding, the main card is backed up to a local hard drive and a cloud drive. We also keep the backup card stored safely until the final gallery has been delivered.
That means your photos live in three separate places before your gallery is delivered.

Yes. Timeline guidance is a big part of what we do.
We’ll help you think through things like getting ready coverage, first look timing, family photos, ceremony light, golden hour portraits, and reception events. Our goal is to create enough structure that the day feels smooth, while still leaving space for real moments to unfold naturally.
A thoughtful timeline helps everyone feel more relaxed — and gives us the best chance to capture the full story of your day with care.
